Service Description

This 75 minute class at Mudjimba Community Hall, offers a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your body in a safe and supportive environment. Led by a compassionate and experienced Psychotherapist and Yoga Teacher, classes are gentle and beginner friendly, and weave in body and mind awareness. Curiosity as to how learnings and experiences on the mat can ripple into life to support at times when we feel stressed, anxious or flat is woven through the class. Learnings may ease symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression over time, as we grow awareness of the links between physical postures, the mind and emotional state. The class is delivered in a trauma-sensitive manner - you’ll always have choice in how you participate, and there’s no pressure to push or perform. The pace is gentle, the tone is invitational, and the focus is on creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can be curious and explore what feels right for you and your body. Who it’s for: - Anyone experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of stress, anxiety, or low mood on occasions - Those seeking a gentle, body-based approach to emotional wellbeing - Individuals who may be curious about how yoga could support mental health, even if you haven't tried it before. Beginners very welcome. I acknowledge the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara peoples as the true custodians of the lands on which I live and work, and I pay my respects to elders past and present.
This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
